OPay Strengthens Nigeria Footprint with New Kaduna Office

OPay, one of Nigeria’s leading fintech companies, has expanded its national footprint with the OPay Kaduna office launch recently unveiled. The new hub brought together community leaders, local merchants, business stakeholders, and members of OPay’s senior management team for a ceremony marking what the company describes as another milestone in its drive for inclusive financial services.

The OPay Kaduna office launch is more than a symbolic ribbon-cutting. It represents a deliberate move by the fintech giant to bring support services closer to customers, agents, and merchants operating in Kaduna and its surrounding communities. With this new base, OPay says it can now offer faster, more localised assistance while strengthening ties with the businesses that depend on its platform daily.

Speaking at the event, Dotun Adekunle, OPay’s Chief Operating and Technology Officer, described the launch as a reflection of the company’s long-term commitment to the state. He noted that Kaduna’s reputation as a hub of enterprise and innovation made it a natural fit for OPay’s continued expansion, adding that trust remains central to how the company operates as millions of Nigerians rely on its platform for secure, everyday transactions.

Since its founding in 2018, OPay has grown into one of the country’s most recognised digital banks, offering services that span money transfers, bill payments, airtime and data purchases, card services, and merchant payment solutions. The company is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and insured by the NDIC, giving customers the same deposit protection enjoyed by traditional commercial banks.

The new Kaduna office is expected to function as a key centre for customer engagement, merchant onboarding, and business partnerships, reinforcing OPay’s broader mission of extending digital financial access to entrepreneurs, traders, and small businesses across Nigeria’s economic landscape.

With this latest expansion, OPay continues to position itself as a driving force behind Nigeria’s financial inclusion agenda, betting on physical presence as a way to build trust in markets where digital adoption is still growing.
