Ollin Biosciences Bags $330M to Take Eye Drug Into Phase 3
Ollin Biosciences, a clinical-stage biotech developing treatments for vision-threatening diseases, has announced an oversubscribed $330 million Series B financing one of the largest such rounds for a biotech in the past two years.
Founding investor ARCH Venture Partners co-led the round alongside new investor TCGX. Additional participants included T. Rowe Price, Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing, RA Capital Management, and Monograph Capital a syndicate that spans established biotech backers, crossover investors, and pension funds.
What the Money Funds
Proceeds from the Ollin Biosciences $330 million Series B will support global Phase 3 development of OLN324, a next-generation VEGF/Ang2 bispecific antibody targeting diabetic macular edema (DME) and wet age-related macular degeneration (wAMD), as well as the advancement of OLN102, a novel TSHR/IGF-1R bispecific antibody for thyroid eye disease and Graves’ disease, into clinical development this year.
In the company’s Phase 1b head-to-head JADE study against Genentech’s blockbuster Vabysmo, OLN324 demonstrated faster and greater improvements in anatomical outcomes, superior vision gains, and fewer retreatments. That result gave Ollin the clinical credibility to attract the deep-pocketed investor mix behind this round.
Ollin has completed an End-of-Phase 2 meeting with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and received scientific advice from the European Medicines Agency, with global Phase 3 trials planned for the second half of 2026.
The global retinal disease market is valued at approximately $15 billion annually. Founded in 2023, Ollin has now raised a total of $430 million, including the $100 million secured at its launch. With Phase 3 on the horizon and regulators already aligned, the Austin-based startup is positioning itself as a serious challenger to the current standard of care in retinal medicine.
