New York-based Fora has closed a $60 million Series D round, pushing its valuation to $1 billion and cementing its place among the travel industry’s newest unicorns. The Fora $60 million funding round was led by Forerunner and Tactile Ventures, with continued backing from Thrive Capital, Insight Partners and Heartcore Capital. New entrants PLUS Capital, whose collective includes comedian Amy Schumer, joined alongside BlackPines Capital Partners and Tribeca Venture Partners, according to TechCrunch.
Founded in 2021 by Henley Vazquez and Evan Frank, Fora gives independent travel advisers a centralized platform to manage bookings, client relationships and commissions. The company has now raised $138.5 million in total funding, Skift reported.
Fora’s Growth Trajectory Has Accelerated Sharply
It took three years to reach $1 billion in lifetime bookings, just eight months to hit $2 billion, and only five more months to cross $3 billion, per Travel Weekly. The platform now supports more than 15,000 active advisers across 180 countries, with 97% having entered the profession from other careers, including medicine, law and finance.
Fresh capital will deepen development of Via, Fora’s AI assistant currently helping advisers automate research, itinerary building and administrative tasks. The company also plans to expand into cruises and flights while pushing further into international markets, PhocusWire noted. Tactile Ventures founder Brian O’Malley called Fora’s trajectory “compounding,” pointing to its blend of automation and human expertise as a key differentiator in an increasingly AI-saturated travel-planning landscape.
