Postman has launched the Postman Accredited Seller, its first global sales accreditation within the Postman Partner Program. The program equips channel partners to lead increasingly complex customer conversations around API governance and agentic AI, two topics that are now reaching boardroom level.
APIs are no longer just developer tools. As a result, partners need more than a product overview. They need the technical depth to match where customer conversations are going.
The timing reflects a real market shift. The 2025 Postman State of the API Report found that 55% of organizations struggle with inconsistent API documentation. Additionally, 34% cannot find APIs that already exist within their own organizations. These are not abstract problems, they carry measurable operational cost.
The Postman Accredited Seller program addresses this directly. It includes three core components. First, a Sales Foundations course helps sellers connect customer challenges to specific Postman capabilities, and speak to business outcomes rather than feature lists. Second, an AI-powered pitch scoring engine evaluates how clearly and accurately sellers present Postman’s value. It supports pitches in any major language, making the accreditation globally accessible. Third, completing the program earns the Postman Accredited Seller badge, which recognizes demonstrated platform knowledge and credible positioning.
The deeper driver, however, is the rise of AI agents. AI agents reach external systems almost entirely through APIs. The Model Context Protocol (MCP) has become the open standard for how agents discover and call tools and data sources. Thousands of public MCP servers are already active. Consequently, the APIs enterprises build today are becoming the infrastructure that AI agents will rely on tomorrow.
Postman’s AI Agent Builder lets teams turn existing API collections into production-ready MCP servers. This means API documentation and tests already built in Postman can become tools that agents discover and call directly. Partners who understand this connection can lead a category of customer conversation that simply did not exist three years ago.
“We’re entering an era where AI agents are becoming a new consumer of software,” said Matt Gray, Head of Channels and Alliances at Postman. “The Postman Accredited Seller badge equips our partners to lead those conversations with customers and capitalize on one of the biggest opportunities in the market today.”
The accreditation also builds on Postman’s recent platform momentum. In June 2026, Postman achieved the AWS AI Competency in Agentic AI Tools. The Postman MCP server is now available in Kiro, AWS’s agentic IDE. Postman Agent Mode runs on Amazon Bedrock. In April 2026, Postman announced a collaboration with Microsoft adding AI model choice in Agent Mode and connecting the API Catalog to Azure API Management.
The stakes for partners are growing accordingly. Gartner projects that 40% of enterprise applications will embed task-specific AI agents by end of 2026, up from less than 5% a year earlier. Therefore, the gap between a partner who can position Postman in this context and one who cannot is widening fast.
Postman describes the Postman Accredited Seller as the first step in a broader accreditation framework designed to help partners build verifiable expertise and accelerate their market success. Partners interested in enrolling can visit the Postman Partner Program page.
