The Pixel 11 series arrives as Google’s most AI-driven phone lineup yet. Announced at the Made by Google 2026 event, the new phones combine Gemini Intelligence with major camera upgrades. Google built the Pixel 11 series to help users manage daily tasks with less effort. The lineup includes the standard Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. These products feature the new Tensor G6 chip, up to 120x Pro Zoom, Magic Capture, and advanced Gemini Intelligence tools. Consequently, buyers now have four models to choose from, spanning different price points and form factors.

Gemini Intelligence sits at the center of this year’s update. The assistant can now complete multistep tasks across more than 40 apps, according to Google’s own product blog. For instance, Rambler, a new Gemini-powered voice input feature, transcribes speech accurately even with filler words. Meanwhile, Gboard gains sign-to-text functionality, built using Google DeepMind’s Sign Language-to-Text model. As a result, signers can compose messages naturally, and the keyboard adapts writing style to match the user’s tone.

Camera performance also takes a leap forward on the Pixel 11 series. Magic Capture uses on-device intelligence alongside Gemini models to analyze roughly 400 frames per shot. Therefore, the phone can automatically capture blink-and-you-miss-it moments, like a child’s smile or a mid-air basketball. Additionally, Camera Looks lets users pick a photo aesthetic before they even snap the shot, with options ranging from Editorial to Velvet. For creators, the new Creator Suite adds an on-screen teleprompter and automatic video organization into project folders.

Beyond photography, Instant Night Sight captures low-light images up to 4.5 times faster on the Pro models. Meanwhile, Circle to Search now works directly from the camera viewfinder, and Live Translate handles real-time speech-to-speech translation using the Tensor G6 chip. Notably, these features push Pixel further into daily utility rather than pure specs. Pricing remains a talking point for the launch. The Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL start at $899, $1,099, and $1,299 respectively. Preorders for all three phones open today, and retail availability begins August 20 through the Google Store and retail partners. Overall, the Pixel 11 series signals Google’s clearest bet yet on AI as the reason to upgrade a smartphone.
