MoneyHash and Visa Lock In Multi-Year Deal to Dominate MENA Payment Infrastructure With Cybersource

Egypt’s MoneyHash has taken its relationship with Visa to the next level, announcing a multi-year commitment to scale Visa’s Cybersource across its payment orchestration platform, a move that signals just how serious both companies are about reshaping digital payments across the Middle East and North Africa.
The MoneyHash Visa Cybersource partnership builds on an initial collaboration that kicked off in 2024, and this latest expansion reflects a deeper infrastructure alignment between the two companies. Through the deal, MoneyHash will embed Cybersource deeper into its orchestration layer, giving merchants a single integration point to access Visa’s global payment network alongside a broad mix of local and international payment options.
For merchants, that means fewer headaches. Instead of juggling multiple direct integrations, businesses plugged into MoneyHash can improve authorisation rates, widen payment acceptance, and get to market faster all without the technical overhead that typically comes with scaling payments across different markets.
Visa Lock In Multi-Year Deal
Founded in 2021 by Nader Abdelrazik and Mustafa Eid, MoneyHash has been on an aggressive expansion drive. The Cairo-born startup raised US$5.2 million in pre-Series A funding earlier this year and has since been stitching together key partnerships across the region in Saudi Arabia, theUAE,Iraq, and most recently Bahrain.
Abdelrazik framed the Visa deal as a natural progression: “By enabling Cybersource within MoneyHash’s platform, we’re giving merchants in MENA and beyond the ability to access Visa’s global capabilities while maintaining full control, flexibility, and performance optimisation through orchestration.”
The MoneyHash Visa Cybersource partnership comes at a moment when payment infrastructure in emerging markets is becoming a serious competitive battleground. With a platform that already attracted regional names like Foodics, Rain, and Tamatem during its beta phase and an enterprise suite launched late last year MoneyHash is clearly positioning itself as the default payment backbone for businesses operating across MENA’s fast-moving digital economy.
