Vercel Function Invocations Now Billed Per Unit

Vercel function invocations now follow a new billing structure, and the change affects every Pro and new Enterprise customer starting their next billing cycle.
The company is moving function invocations from package-based to per-unit pricing. The new rate is $0.0000006 per invocation. That is equivalent to $0.60 per one million calls, the same effective rate as before. But the structure of the change matters more than the number.
Previously, invocations bundled into packages. Teams on Pro plans could burn through their monthly usage credit quickly, even at modest scale. Per-unit pricing scales more smoothly. Whether a team runs 100,000 invocations or 100 million, costs grow in direct proportion to usage. No tier jumps. No surprise overages.
Vercel frames the change as aligning costs with actual usage. Smaller teams face less risk of hitting a ceiling mid-month. Larger teams get more predictability as usage patterns evolve.
The switch applies to Pro customers and new Enterprise customers. Existing Enterprise customers stay on current billing until their contract cycle ends.
Vercel’s Functions documentation now reflects the new model with full pricing details and a quickstart guide. The company positions this as part of a broader move toward granular, usage-based billing across the platform. No action is needed from existing Pro customers. The new rate applies automatically at the next billing cycle.
