Lovable AI Coding Startup Targets $12 Billion Valuation in New Round

Vibe Coding Keeps Minting Billion-Dollar Bets
Stockholm’s Lovable, the vibe coding platform that lets users build apps through plain-language prompts, is in talks to raise a new funding round that would value the company at $12 billion, according to a Forbes report published Thursday. If confirmed, the deal would nearly double the $6.6 billion valuation the Lovable AI coding startup commanded just six months ago, cementing its position as one of Europe’s most valuable private technology companies.
Lovable last raised $330 million in a Series B round led by Alphabet’s CapitalG and Menlo Ventures in December 2025, with the deal also drawing in Nvidia’s venture capital arm and the venture arms of Salesforce, Databricks, and Atlassian. That round came on the back of blistering growth: the company reached $100 million in annual recurring revenue faster than OpenAI, Cursor, and every other software company in history, then doubled that figure to $200 million in just four months.
Lovable’s platform uses AI models from providers like OpenAI and Anthropic to help users build apps and websites through text prompts, without the need for coding knowledge. That accessibility has powered remarkable retention the platform’s Day 30 retention sits at 85%, which CEO Anton Osika says beats ChatGPT’s month-one retention.
The new funding talks arrive amid a fierce race among vibe coding platforms. Cursor raised $2.3 billion at a $29.3 billion valuation in November 2025, while Replit hit a $3 billion valuation after raising $250 million, and Vercel closed $300 million at a $9.3 billion valuation.
Founded in late 2023 by Anton Osika and Fabian Hedin, Lovable quickly gained traction by enabling non-technical founders and teams to build digital products without traditional coding expertise and investors clearly believe the best is still ahead for the Lovable AI coding startup.
