Meta has launched a new range of AI-powered smart glasses starting at $299. The move marks Meta’s latest push into wearable technology. Unlike earlier products, the devices do not carry Ray-Ban or Oakley branding. Prices begin at $299. That is far below the $800 Ray-Ban Display glasses released last year.
The glasses ship with Meta AI powered by the Muse Spark model. Users can ask questions and receive live translations. They can also interact with the assistant using voice commands. Meta plans to add pedestrian navigation in a future update. Meta has invested heavily in consumer AI devices. As a result, smart glasses have become central to its strategy. The company currently dominates the category. Reuters reported that Meta accounted for more than 76% of global smart glasses shipments last year. Meanwhile, rivals are expanding their own products. Google, Apple and Snap are all pursuing wearable AI technologies.
