NVIDIA Agent Toolkit Gives Enterprises a Secure Open Foundation for Specialized AI

NVIDIA has launched the NVIDIA Agent Toolkit, an open and modular foundation designed to help enterprises build specialized AI agents they can customize, control and trust. The toolkit brings together models, tools, skills and a secure runtime into a single coherent stack built for real business workflows.
The announcement comes as enterprise AI moves beyond the pilot phase. The first wave of enterprise AI was about access, with companies experimenting with frontier and open models to explore how AI can help. Now, specialized agents, which are systems of models that can reason, use tools and take action even for the most complex workflows, put more useful AI within reach of the people who already know the work best.
The NVIDIA Agent Toolkit comprises models, tools, skills and a secure runtime, providing an open, modular foundation for building safer, faster and lower-cost digital AI coworkers that enterprises and developers can customize, specialize, control and trust.
The toolkit has three core components. NVIDIA Nemotron open models give teams flexibility to customize, evaluate and deploy agents for their own needs. NVIDIA NemoClaw blueprints provide patterns for safer agent behavior, delivering accurate results at lower costs, with tools and skills connecting agents to concrete actions. The NVIDIA OpenShell runtime helps agents operate safely inside the systems where work actually gets done.
The toolkit’s users can work with third-party agent orchestration frameworks of their choice, including Hermes Agents and OpenClaw. That flexibility is central to the pitch: businesses are not locked into a single path.
The NVIDIA Agent Toolkit is already finding traction across industries. In life sciences, the new NVIDIA BioNeMo Toolkit enables work that previously took months to be completed in days, with agents helping researchers with protein design, virtual screening, genomics analysis and biomarker discovery. In healthcare, agents support clinical documentation, clinical decision support and care coordination.
CrowdStrike is running specialized security agents that triage alerts with 98.5% accuracy. Cadence and Synopsys are building autonomous agents for chip design and engineering workflows, while Palantir, SAP, ServiceNow, Siemens and Dassault Systèmes are embedding agent capabilities into the enterprise platforms where critical decisions get made.
The broader signal from NVIDIA is clear: the most valuable AI agents will not be general purpose, they will be deeply specialized. The NVIDIA Agent Toolkit is positioned as the open infrastructure layer that makes building them practical at scale.
