Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg believes personal AI agents could become part of everyday life within five years. He said billions of people will rely on AI assistants to achieve personal goals, manage daily tasks, and make better decisions. Zuckerberg argued that AI should become more accessible for everyday users, not just businesses and software developers.

Zuckerberg shared the prediction during Meta’s latest quarterly earnings call, where he outlined the company’s long-term AI strategy. He said today’s AI tools mainly support coding and enterprise work. Meta now wants to build personal AI agents that anyone can use. More than one million businesses already use Meta’s AI agents every week across WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram.

“I think that it’s extremely unlikely if you look out five years from now, for example — whatever period of time you want — that you don’t have billions of people with a personal agent that understands your goals and that is just working on your behalf 24/7 to achieve your goals in whatever the domain is that you care about,” Zuckerberg told investors.
