Saris Raises $28.8 Million to Expand AI Workflow Automation for Financial Institutions

Jack Henry (Nasdaq: JKHY) has announced that Woodforest National Bank, a multi-state institution with more than $9 billion in assets, has chosen the fintech company to power its growth, modernisation, and long-term digital strategy. The Woodforest National Bank Jack Henry partnership is being called a landmark deal in the industry, and the numbers back that up.

While Jack Henry has more than 35 clients with over $9 billion in assets, all of them either joined through a merger or grew organically within the Jack Henry ecosystem. Woodforest is different, it represents the largest new core signing in Jack Henry’s history, based on number of accounts, and signals the company’s deepening traction with larger financial institutions.

That traction is hard to ignore. Over the past three fiscal years, 44 financial institutions with over $1 billion in assets have switched their core platform to Jack Henry, representing roughly $94 billion in total assets. That is a dramatic jump from just 15 institutions representing approximately $26 billion in assets signed during fiscal years 2022 and 2023.

Founded in 1980, Woodforest has built a strong legacy as one of the nation’s leading community banks. Headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas, the bank operates over 740 branches across 17 states, including locations within select major retail grocery stores, and serves both retail and commercial customers with relationship-driven financial solutions.

So what made Jack Henry the right fit? Woodforest was specifically drawn to Jack Henry’s modern, open approach to financial technology and its ability to deliver a fully integrated, end-to-end platform. As part of its long-term technology evaluation, the bank wanted a partner that could innovate, reduce reliance on custom-built infrastructure, and provide a scalable foundation for continued growth.

Beyond core services, Woodforest was particularly attracted to Jack Henry’s digital banking capabilities, treasury management offerings, and open architecture with a broad ecosystem of integrations, features that will allow the bank to connect third-party solutions more easily while boosting operational efficiency.

Robert E. Marling Jr., Chairman and CEO of Woodforest National Bank, was clear about the direction the bank is heading. He said Jack Henry stood out for its modern, integrated platform, open architecture, and public cloud-native services, adding that the bank is confident the partnership will help it operate more efficiently, strengthen its digital capabilities, and deliver the experiences its customers expect.

For Jack Henry’s leadership, the Woodforest National Bank Jack Henry partnership is a statement about where the company stands in an increasingly competitive market. Greg Adelson, President and CEO of Jack Henry, said the deal reflects the strength of the company’s modern technology and its role in the next era of banking, noting that larger financial institutions are increasingly seeking a more modern, flexible technology foundation and that Jack Henry continues to differentiate through its focus on culture, service, innovation, strategy, and execution.
