Juspay Joins Mastercard Engage Network in Push for Seamless Global Payments

Payments technology firm Juspay has officially joined the Mastercard Engage partner network as a certified third-party provider for Mastercard Click to Pay, a move the company says is central to its mission of making online checkout faster, safer, and dramatically less painful for both merchants and consumers worldwide.
The announcement, made on June 2, 2026, targets one of the most persistent and costly problems in global e-commerce, cart abandonment. Industry benchmarks put the average abandonment rate at around 70%, largely driven by the friction of manually entering card numbers, expiration dates, and CVV codes, or navigating unreliable one-time password flows at checkout. Juspay Mastercard Click to Pay is designed to eliminate that entirely.
Built on EMVCo standards, Click to Pay works by recognising a shopper’s profile via their email address or phone number, removing the need for manual card data entry altogether. Juspay has already completed a successful rollout of the solution in Brazil and is now scaling it globally across the United States, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East, and the UK.
The integration combines three capabilities that Juspay says make the difference at the enterprise level: biometric authentication using passkeys for secure, passwordless transactions; card tokenisation to reduce fraud exposure; and a streamlined checkout interface designed to cut abandonment at the final step of purchase. Notably, raw card numbers are never transmitted over the web, encrypted cryptographic tokens are passed instead, shifting fraud liability back to the issuing bank and reducing false-positive transaction declines.
Mark Ronayne, Associate Director, International at Juspay, described the Mastercard Engage listing as a meaningful scaling moment. “At Juspay, we’re focused on removing friction from the checkout experience while maintaining the highest standards of security,” he said. “With Click to Pay, we’re enabling merchants to offer a consistent, one-click checkout, helping improve conversion while delivering a seamless payment experience for consumers.”
Juspay currently processes over 300 million transactions daily and counts Amazon, Google, HSBC, and Swiggy among its enterprise clients. Its open-source payment orchestration system, Hyperswitch, allows a single API integration to deploy a blended checkout interface supporting Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover simultaneously, with smart routing built in should any individual card network experience disruption.
The Juspay Mastercard Click to Pay partnership also carries a collaboration component: both companies will work together to support merchants in accelerating their own adoption of Click to Pay through the Engage ecosystem. The Mastercard Engage platform connects qualified technology partners with financial institutions and merchants looking to deploy innovative payment solutions faster than building in-house would allow.
For merchants still sitting on legacy checkout flows, this partnership signals that the industry’s shift to passwordless, tokenised, one-click payment experiences is no longer aspirational, it is here and being deployed at scale.
