Building at the Intersection of Law and Tech, Michel A. Nkansah Shortlisted for Transformative Legal Leaders Award 2026

Michel A. Nkansah is having a moment, and it’s well earned.
The UK-based Senior Product Manager at Dentons UK, Ireland, and Middle East has been shortlisted in the Transformative Legal Leaders category at the Legal Innovation & Impact Awards 2026, alongside seven other standout names being recognised for reshaping the legal profession.
Michel leads product development of AI products and legal transformation initiatives at Dentons, but his work doesn’t stop there. He runs Legaltech Lounge, a lawtech community of over 3,000 legal professionals across Africa, and hosts Africa’s largest lawtech hangout in Accra annually, drawing 800+ attendees. He has also supported over 200 lawtech founders through LawtechUK, a Ministry of Justice funded programme in the UK.
The Transformative Legal Leaders category celebrates individuals who are driving meaningful change, challenging convention, and shaping the future of law through leadership, innovation, and impact. A decade of building digital products and ecosystems across Africa and the UK makes Michel a natural fit.
He’ll be competing for the award with fellow nominees Theresa N. Chikwendu, Lauren Wilson, Felix Obiamalu, Annabelle Thomas, Patience Mapoko, Jackie Nagtegaal, and Dr Kim Lamont-Mbawuli.
Winners will be announced on 25 June 2026 at Summer Place, Hyde Park, Johannesburg, South Africa.
