  • The expansion puts Claude in direct competition with ChatGPT and Gemini for the everyday AI assistant market.

Anthropic has just made its AI assistant significantly more useful. Claude Connectors for everyday life now connects to AllTrails, Audible, Booking.com, Instacart, Intuit Credit Karma, Intuit TurboTax, Resy, Spotify, StubHub, Taskrabbit, Thumbtack, TripAdvisor, Uber, Uber Eats, and Viator. Moreover, Anthropic says more apps are on the way very soon.

Until now, Claude had focused mostly on workplace tools. Previously, Anthropic focused primarily on work-related app connectors, such as those for Microsoft applications. This new update, therefore, marks a clear and deliberate shift in strategy.

Since launching in July 2025, the Claude connector directory has grown to over 200 integrations. Notably, users have been combining multiple apps inside a single conversation. For example, a product manager will pull a query from Amplitude, turn it into a Canva deck, and drop the link into Asana for the team, all without leaving the conversation.

Now, that same seamless experience extends to personal life. A conversation about weekend plans can produce a hiking recommendation from AllTrails, a restaurant booking from Resy, a grocery order from Instacart, and a ride from Uber, without the user switching between apps. Consequently, Claude Connectors for everyday life removes the constant friction of juggling separate platforms.

Claude now suggests the right app for what you’re doing, like finding a reservation, adding to a grocery cart, or identifying a flight. Furthermore, the system works intelligently across multiple services in one thread. When two connectors are relevant, users see both options and choose freely.

Privacy, however, remains a firm priority for Anthropic. Anthropic says these services will surface when chatting with Claude based on relevance, emphasising the lack of paid placements or sponsored answers. “Claude is ad-free and will stay that way,” Anthropic says. In addition, data from connected apps is not used to train Anthropic’s models.

The grocery use case, in particular, shows the depth of this expansion. Instacart’s integration is built on data pipelines into more than 2,200 retail banners, a product catalog with more than 2 billion items, and personalised household preferences. As a result, Claude can surface items that are actually in stock at your nearest store.

The move brings Claude into direct competition with OpenAI and Google. Both Gemini and ChatGPT already allow third-party app connections, with ChatGPT linking to tools like Canva and Zillow. Still, Claude’s no-ads pledge and relevance-based ranking give it a distinct edge in the growing AI assistant space. Claude Connectors for everyday life is available on all plans. Web and desktop access is live now, with mobile currently in beta.
