CBS has officially ordered Eternally Yours to series for the 2026-27 broadcast season. The vampire comedy comes from Ghosts showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman. CBS also passed on its other comedy pilot, The Tillbrooks, at the same time.
A Supernatural Comedy Built on a Proven Foundation
The path to a series order for Eternally Yours was a long one. CBS established a development room for the project in August 2024. A pilot order followed a year later, in July 2025. Port and Wiseman currently run Ghosts, which is now in its fifth season on CBS. Both shows film in the same Montreal production hub. Eternally Yours, CBS’s New Vampire Comedy Explained
The Eternally Yours CBS vampire comedy centres on Charles and Liz. Ed Weeks plays Charles. Allegra Edwards takes on the role of Liz. Together, they have been married as vampires for 500 years. Their romance has long faded into a flat routine. The couple lives in present-day Seattle with an oddball coven. Everything changes when their daughter brings home an earnest human boyfriend. His arrival forces the couple to ask whether love can survive forever or if forever is actually a life sentence
Who Makes Up the Coven?
The cast extends well beyond the central couple. Helen J. Shen plays the couple’s daughter. Jaren Lewison portrays her human boyfriend. Parker Young, Rose Abdoo, Tristan Michael Brown, and Shylo Molina complete the series regular ensemble. Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, and Jason Wang executive produce alongside Port and Wiseman. Trent O’Donnell directed the pilot. He also served as an executive producer on both the Eternally Yours and Ghosts pilots. CBS Studios is producing the series.
The Tillbrooks Get Passed Over
CBS had two comedy pilots under consideration this development cycle. The Tillbrooks was a multi-camera series set in 19th-century England. Rhys Darby and Kate Walsh starred in the project. Creator Tara Hernandez wrote and executive-produced it for Warner Bros. Television. According to industry sources, the Eternally Yours pilot performed better at CBS network screenings. Its CBS Studios origin also gave it a clear institutional edge.
CBS will now carry just three comedies in 2026-27, down from four, as Eternally Yours joins the returning Ghosts and Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage. The cancellation of freshman comedy DMV and the conclusion of The Neighbourhood after eight seasons account for that reduction. CBS’s full 2026-27 fall schedule is due on April 15, 2026.
