Meta Pocket app has arrived quietly, letting users build playable AI experiences from simple text prompts. The tech giant launched Pocket on Google Play and the App Store on June 29, 2026. However, Meta has not issued any official announcement about the app yet. Reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi first spotted the listing and shared screenshots on X. Consequently, several outlets picked up the story within hours.
Pocket invites users to describe an idea, and the app instantly generates a “gizmo,” a small interactive experience. These gizmos can respond to touch, tilt, camera input, and even music. Meanwhile, a scrollable discovery feed lets people play gizmos other users have created. The Meta Pocket app grew out of Meta’s acquisition of the Gizmo team, TechCrunch reports. That original platform had already gathered 635,000 lifetime installs with strong user sentiment. Similarly, screenshots show Pocket closely resembles Gizmo’s earlier design.
As The Verge notes, Meta continues expanding its lineup of standalone AI apps. Therefore, Pocket joins Vibes and Meta AI as another experiment in consumer-facing generative tools. Since Meta hasn’t confirmed a wider rollout, the app remains in an early testing phase for now.
