But access is not equal yet. Many advanced AI tools are priced in foreign currency, making them costly for local developers, even as global platforms expand their coding-agent meetups into Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan, and Port Harcourt.
For young Nigerian engineers in Yaba and Victoria Island, autonomous code generation is not a far-off trend. It is the tool sitting in their IDE right now, quietly rewriting how software careers will work.
