Accenture, ServiceNow Launch Agentic AI Risk Tools

Accenture and ServiceNow have teamed up to tackle a problem many enterprises know all too well. Legacy cybersecurity platforms cost too much, and migrating off them feels nearly impossible. So, the two companies launched a fresh set of agentic AI risk tools on June 29, designed to fix exactly that.
The new offering comes in two parts. First, there are managed security services built directly on the ServiceNow AI Platform. Second, Accenture brings an AI-powered migration solution that automates the shift from outdated systems to ServiceNow. Together, these agentic AI risk tools aim to remove the two biggest blockers to risk modernization: cost and complexity.
Why does this matter now? Because the stakes keep rising. Data breach costs in the U.S. hit a record $10.22 million per incident in 2025, a 9% jump from the previous year. Even worse, AI is shrinking the gap between when a vulnerability gets discovered and when attackers exploit it, from months down to mere hours. For Lagos-based fintechs and SaaS startups managing sensitive user data, that shrinking window is a serious wake-up call.
So, what exactly do these agentic AI risk tools include? Four key services. Unified risk management lets AI agents track vendors and automate lifecycle decisions. OT risk management merges operational and IT risk on one platform, useful for industrial and infrastructure-heavy businesses. Proactive compliance tools monitor regulation changes automatically. And finally, the migration tool helps teams move off legacy platforms without the usual disruption.
Rex Thexton, Accenture Cybersecurity’s global CTO, explained that companies need more than scattered security tools. Instead, they need to connect risk insights, automate decisions, and respond at enterprise scale. Meanwhile, Lou Fiorello of ServiceNow noted that autonomous, AI-driven operations represent cybersecurity’s next chapter.
For Nigerian developers and IT leads, this launch signals a broader shift. Agentic AI isn’t just a buzzword anymore. It’s becoming the backbone of enterprise security strategy worldwide, and Lagos teams building for global clients should pay close attention. As compliance demands grow and breach costs climb, tools like these could shape how local startups approach security partnerships in the next few years.
