General Intuition funding talks have reached a new stage, according to a new report from TechCrunch. The New York-based startup is negotiating a $6 billion pre-money valuation from fresh backers. Valor Equity Partners, Point72 Ventures, and Seven Seven Six are leading this charge.

Meanwhile, existing investors Khosla Ventures and General Catalyst plan to join the round again. This marks a swift jump from its earlier $320 million raise, which valued the company at $2.3 billion.

General Intuition is a company that builds a foundation model that teaches AI agents to navigate space and time. CEO Pim de Witte spun the company out of his video game platform Medal last October. The startup uses hundreds of millions of hours of gameplay footage as training data.

Consequently, investors see strong potential in its approach to physical AI. The company plans to use new funds to expand its robotic embodiments work. It will also increase spending on compute infrastructure through its CoreWeave partnership.

Additionally, General Intuition intends to hire more talent across engineering and research teams. The round remains open, and sources say it is already oversubscribed. Notably, Valor Equity Partners is best known for backing SpaceX. This deal would mark Valor’s first AI lab investment since SpaceX itself. As a result, General Intuition is fast becoming one of the hottest names in physical AI.
