Julius Berger Shareholders Greenlight N6.8 Billion Dividend After Bumper 2025

Shareholders of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc have approved a N6.8 billion dividend payout equivalent to N4.25 per share off the back of a standout 2025 financial year. The resolution was passed at the company’s 56th Annual General Meeting held Thursday at the Shehu Musa Yar’adua Centre in Abuja.

The Julius Berger N6.8 billion dividend approval comes as the construction giant posted some of its strongest numbers in recent memory. Revenue climbed 34.1% to N566.71 billion, while profit before tax rose 38.5% to N40.95 billion from N29.57 billion the prior year. Net profit reached N30.17 billion, and earnings per share surged 96% to N18.69 nearly double the N9.54 recorded in 2024.

A Year Built on Execution

Board Chairman Goni Musa Sheikh credited the results to disciplined project delivery and tight financial management, pointing to consistent performance across civil engineering, building construction, and the company’s diversification drive as the engine behind the growth.

Managing Director Engr. Dr. Peer Lubasch said the company’s strategy remains rooted in its core engineering capabilities while expanding through subsidiaries and regional opportunities. He described Julius Berger’s approach as focused and agile despite Nigeria’s difficult macroeconomic environment.

On the ground, the company’s project pipeline tells its own story. Julius Berger completed the reconstruction of the 5.7-kilometre Port Harcourt Road in Aba and has readied the 38-kilometre Bodo-Bonny Road for commissioning a project expected to transform connectivity in Rivers State. Other completed works include the Lagos Northwest Tower, the Lagos-Opebi-Mende Road, and the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Centre in Abuja.

With a strong balance sheet and an expanding infrastructure portfolio, Julius Berger heads into 2026 with momentum and clear room to grow both within Nigeria and across the broader region.
