Paystack, Sycamore Join Borderless Experience 2026 Speaker Line-Up

Senior fintech and banking executives from Nigeria’s rapidly evolving digital financial ecosystem are set to headline discussions at The Borderless Experience 2026, as industry leaders converge in Lagos to examine the infrastructure, partnerships and policies needed to build a more connected African economy.

Among the newly announced speakers are Osaro Aiwekhoe, Head of Product, Banking at Paystack, and Babatunde Akin-Moses, Co-Founder and CEO of Sycamore.NG Group.

The event, organised by Condia, is scheduled for Friday, August 21, 2026, at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, and will bring together stakeholders across payments, banking, fintech, commerce, travel, hospitality, investment, regulation and technology.

Paystack banking perspective

Aiwekhoe, who leads Product for Banking at Paystack, brings experience spanning product development, strategy and commercial growth to the event.

According to the speaker announcement, his work at Paystack has included expanding payment capabilities beyond cards, developing solutions for fintech and investment businesses, and contributing to the company’s broader ambitions in banking.

His participation is expected to provide an operator’s perspective on how financial products can be designed to support businesses as they operate across increasingly interconnected markets.

The focus aligns with one of the central themes of The Borderless Experience: Payments and Financial Infrastructure, which will explore payment rails, settlement, liquidity, foreign exchange, remittances, stablecoins and the infrastructure required to move money reliably across borders.

Sycamore founder brings scale-up experience

Joining Aiwekhoe is Akin-Moses, Co-Founder and CEO of Sycamore.NG Group, a fintech business providing financial services including credit, savings and investment products.

The company has focused on serving individuals and growing businesses that have traditionally been underserved by conventional financial institutions. His professional background includes experience in finance, strategy and operations, including roles associated with Shell and Pezesha.

Akin-Moses’ experience also adds a founder and scale-up perspective to the conference. His public professional profile identifies him as CEO of Sycamore.NG and shows extensive engagement with issues around financial inclusion, entrepreneurship and scaling businesses.

The announcement describes Sycamore as having served more than 400,000 customers across multiple markets, highlighting the growing role of technology-enabled financial services in expanding access to credit, savings and investment products.

While fintech is an important component of the event, organisers are positioning The Borderless Experience as a broader conversation about the systems required for Africa’s increasingly interconnected economy.

The conference website describes a changing environment in which Africans are increasingly able to shop, travel, study, work, earn and build businesses across borders, creating new demands for financial infrastructure and commercial partnerships.

The programme will therefore extend beyond payments to examine banking relationships, regulatory frameworks, cybersecurity, commerce, travel and hospitality.

Its six core content tracks include The Borderless African Consumer; Payments & Financial Infrastructure; Banking a More Connected Africa; Commerce, Travel & Hospitality; Policy, Trust & Regulation; and Building the Borderless Economy.

Organisers say the event will also address some of the risks accompanying greater financial and economic connectivity, including fraud, cybercrime, regulatory fragmentation, foreign-exchange instability, consumer protection and settlement risks.

Building Africa’s connected economy

The participation of leaders from companies such as Paystack and Sycamore reflects the increasingly important role of fintechs in connecting African consumers and businesses to financial services and international markets.

Rather than focusing exclusively on technology, the conference is designed to bring together the different stakeholders required to make cross-border commerce work, including banks, fintechs, regulators, policymakers, merchants, investors, infrastructure providers and travel companies.

The organisers say the event will provide a platform for these stakeholders to explore partnerships and practical solutions for a more connected African economy.

With Aiwekhoe bringing experience from one of Africa’s leading payments companies and Akin-Moses contributing the perspective of a fintech founder building across markets, their participation is expected to add depth to conversations around the future of African financial services.

The main conference will take place on August 21 at Landmark Event Centre, Lagos, following pre-event activities including a Borderless Hangout and a welcome mixer for speakers, partners and delegates.
