Qoray electric mobility is making a direct bet on Nigeria’s last-mile transportation problem, and it wants local entrepreneurs to own the solution. The company has officially launched its Dealer-Owned, Dealer-Operated (DODO) model, a franchise structure designed to put clean electric tricycle fleets into the hands of community operators across the country.
The DODO model works differently from traditional dealership arrangements. Rather than simply distributing products, the Qoray electric mobility structure enables dealers to run fully operational businesses. Each dealer contributes roughly ₦50 million as an upfront equity stake and gains access to an asset ecosystem worth approximately ₦177 million. This includes electric tricycles, battery swap infrastructure, and Qoray’s integrated technology platform. A bank-backed facility covers the remaining financing, repaid through daily operational revenue over two years.
The model, therefore, functions as a long-term cashflow business rather than a one-off purchase. Dealers retain operational control within their territories while plugging into Qoray’s centralised systems, battery swap network, and technical support. This decentralised ownership approach, the company argues, keeps more economic value within local communities.

Beyond the franchise model, Qoray also assembles its electric vehicles locally in Nigeria. Furthermore, the shift to electric tricycles significantly lowers fuel dependency and reduces daily operating costs for both fleet owners and riders.
