TCS Is Bringing Claude AI to 50,000 Employees Across Regulated Industries

Anthropic has announced a major partnership with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), one of the world’s largest technology services companies, to bring Claude AI into regulated industries at scale. Under the deal, TCS will deploy Claude to 50,000 of its own employees operating across 56 countries, while also building Claude powered products for clients in healthcare, financial services, the public sector, and other compliance heavy sectors.

The move signals growing enterprise demand for Claude AI in regulated industries, where accuracy, auditability, and regulatory alignment are non negotiable. TCS brings decades of experience delivering technology that meets complex compliance requirements, and its global reach means Claude could soon power workflows across thousands of enterprises worldwide.

TCS is approaching this as “customer zero,” meaning it will first embed Claude across its own engineering, finance, legal, marketing, and sales teams before rolling out solutions to clients. The company is building a dedicated practice staffed with consultants, engineers, and industry specialists who will design and operate Claude based systems for enterprise customers.

The partnership already has concrete deployments in motion. Diligenta, TCS’s UK life and pensions business, will use Claude to improve customer experience for more than 22 million policyholders. TCS’s banking and financial services product teams will use Claude Code to boost engineering and IT operations productivity. TCS iON, which runs over 75 million assessments annually across 1,500 cities in India, will deliver Claude training and certification programs. Additionally, TCS engineering teams will build reusable Claude Code plugins focused on claims adjudication and lending advisory.

K. Krithivasan, CEO and Managing Director of TCS, said the partnership is designed to help clients move faster to production, especially in industries where trust and regulatory discipline are critical. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei added that the deal deepens Anthropic’s commitment to India, which he described as the company’s second largest market.

TCS has also joined the Claude Partner Network, Anthropic’s growing ecosystem of consulting and services firms that help bring Claude to enterprise clients globally.
