TradeStation Expands into Europe, Bringing Full U.S. Trading Access to Investors

TradeStation Group, Inc. has officially launched TradeStation Europe B.V., a fully licensed MiFID Investment Firm in the European Union, regulated by the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) in the Netherlands. The TradeStation Europe expansion marks one of the company’s most significant international moves yet, making the same powerful trading suite long trusted by American investors available to clients across 30 countries in the European Economic Area.
Headquartered in Amsterdam, TradeStation Europe gives both retail and institutional investors in the region direct access to U.S. equities, options, futures, and futures options, all through platforms that TradeStation’s subsidiary, TradeStation Securities, Inc., has operated in the U.S. for more than four decades. For European traders who have historically had to stitch together multiple services just to reach American markets, that complexity is now being addressed head-on.
John Bartleman, President and CEO of TradeStation Group, framed the move plainly: “Traders around the world have long had to chain together disparate services just to reach U.S. markets, and that complexity is a barrier we set out to eliminate. As markets grow increasingly global, investors expect seamless access to opportunities, no matter where they are.” He described the TradeStation Europe expansion as a key step toward building what he called a “global trading ecosystem.”
Peter Comstock, named President of TradeStation Europe, said the launch is not just about geographic reach but long-term commitment. “We’re combining more than four decades of TradeStation’s infrastructure with local expertise, support, and regulatory oversight to deliver a seamless experience for both active traders and institutional clients across the region,” he said.
Beyond market access, the platform delivers real-time market data, advanced charting and analytics, multi-lingual client support, and streamlined deposit and withdrawal processes tailored to European clients. The TradeStation Europe expansion is also backed by regulatory credibility, with full MiFID compliance giving the firm the legal standing to operate as an investment services provider across the EU.
The launch has drawn positive attention from the derivatives world as well. Serge Marston, head of EMEA at CME Group, the world’s leading derivatives marketplace, congratulated TradeStation on the move, noting that “at a time of heightened uncertainty, we’re seeing increased participation across commodity and financial markets as traders look to manage risk and diversify their portfolios.”
The TradeStation Europe expansion comes amid broader momentum at the firm. The company recently launched TITAN X, a next-generation trading platform with customizable workspaces, multi-asset capabilities, and flexible API integrations. It also introduced a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connection, enabling traders to link AI assistants directly to their accounts for more conversational, automated interactions with market data and trading workflows.
With European demand for sophisticated trading tools continuing to grow, TradeStation’s decision to plant its flag in Amsterdam with full regulatory backing signals that this is far more than a pilot, it is a long-term play for one of the world’s most competitive financial markets.
