SpaceXAI is adopting NVIDIA’s Vera CPU to accelerate its next generation of agentic artificial intelligence (AI) applications, bringing NVIDIA’s new processor into one of the world’s most ambitious AI infrastructure projects.
NVIDIA announced on August 24 that SpaceXAI will use Vera to handle important tasks that support AI agents, including tool orchestration, code execution, data processing and simulations. These tasks happen around AI model inference and can help keep GPUs working efficiently.
NVIDIA describes Vera as its first CPU specifically designed for AI agents. Unlike traditional AI systems that mainly generate responses, agentic AI systems can perform multiple steps, use tools and complete tasks with less human involvement.
SpaceXAI also plans to expand its AI infrastructure for Grok using NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform as it works toward gigawatt-scale computing capacity.
The partnership goes beyond data centers. SpaceXAI’s planned first-generation Starmind AI satellite expected to use an optimized NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 system, extending the same accelerated computing architecture into orbit.
The move highlights NVIDIA’s broader push to make its technology a foundation for AI computing across data centers and emerging space-based systems.
For SpaceXAI, the Vera deployment could help improve the speed and efficiency of the computing infrastructure supporting its growing AI ambitions.
